This is the second cruise that I’ve been on, and without fail, I came back a few pounds heavier. A week full of sun, excursions, pools and wine is fun, but one of the best parts about my Caribbean cruise with Princess Cruises was the food. Here are a few pinterest-friendly photos I took while on the cruise. I didn’t get a chance to snap photos of ALL the dishes I tried, as I often forget to take them before digging right in. Hope you enjoy!
We started off with a private chef’s tasting in the main kitchen on board the ship.
I tried caviar for the very first time. Not bad, pretty tasty. I didn’t think I’d like it after watching it in movies all the time, but I actually enjoyed it. 🙂 The other bites were light but full of flavor and beautifully presented.
Seafood spaghetti – usually they skimp out on the seafood, and pile on the spaghetti. Not here. Look at that lobster.
Chocolate Tiramisu, Mascarpone Cream and Espresso Gelato for dessert. The outer shell was dark chocolate – this was absolutely delicious.
Perfectly seared scallops on top of grilled pears.
Apple + Dulce de leche cheesecake for dessert. And below, this martini glass was filled with the fresh lemon sorbet, served in between eight courses as a palette cleanser. Absolutely delicious.
The chefs responsible for some of these creations on Princess Cruises are extremely creative, especially when it comes to chocolate. The dish above is the Bittersweet Chocolate Mousse with Caramel Cream and Milk Chocolate Crunch – part of Chocolate Journeys – a full-fledged onboard chocolate experience. This was the best chocolate mousse I’ve ever tasted.
Thank you so much for reading this post.
