It’s been on my bucket list for some time now, and maybe one day I’ll be able to charter a big, beautiful yacht and sail around the Mediterranean with a huge family. Until then, I’ll be doing some planning in my head and on this blog to share some of the most scenic spots to visit when sailing the Mediterranean – specifically the five main countries I’d like to visit.

Have you been sailing around the Mediterranean? If so, where have you been, or if not, where would you go?

  • Oh, beautiful conutries. I have always wanted to go to Greece and see Santorini and Athens. And basically anywhere in the Mediterranean! It is a special see for me. I have sailed in the Barcelona waters, because, I love sailing and I live there! Hahaha Thanks for sharing this gorgeous images and places! With love,
    Vera

Gorgeous Photos!! I would love to visit all these places. I wanted to let you know, the photo you have for Athens is actually a photo of Mykonos. Athens unfortunately doesn’t have a very attractive port.

  • Italy’s coastline is just UNBELIEVABLE. Want to go there so badly! Ahh, now I’m daydreaming 🙂

  • Capri was one of my favorite places to date. Planning a trip to Croatia this summer sadly not on a big mega yacht. Will keep planning in my head until that day comes, as well.

Dubrovnik looks so calm and beautiful, I really want to go there!

    • It’s a beautiful city. The water color is just something that I’ve never seen before. The people are nice too! 🙂

  • The Mediterranean is just so beautiful, I could spend years sailing around and still not have seen it all! I love some of the smaller, less touristy Greek Islands such as Alonissos and Skyros.

    • Ahh, seriously! It’s a dream of mine. Thanks for sending along the names of those smaller Greek islands – I’m sure there’s a lot to discover and most times those smaller places are my favorites 😀

In your Greek photos, one is wrong…..it’s Mykonos (island), not Athens!

  • Lucky girl that sounds awesome!

  • I loved sailing through the Turkish Mediterranean. Falling asleep to the sounds of the water and waking up on the deck of boat was one of the coolest experiences. I can recommend the company I went with if you’re interested!
Croatia is also so beautiful. Although I didn’t sail there, I did island hop for bit and I never wanted to leave!
